The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce and invites you to join the “2011 Latino Employee Resource Group (ERG) Summit and Corporate Challenge” at the 32nd  Annual Convention & Business Expo in Miami, Florida on Monday, September 19, 2011.

Employee Resource Groups are a crucial asset to Corporations because they are a vital part to realizing business goals. They are used for diversity recruitment, retention, diversity in management, talent development, and to reach customers and clients in the community, as well as supplier diversity. Key to the development of tomorrow’s Hispanic business entrepreneurs, the USHCC is committed to the expansion of ERGs in Corporate America.

Last year, the USHCC hosted the first-ever Latino ERG Summit Challenge in our nation’s history. Leading corporations from across the country entered The Challenge and the top five corporations were selected by an independent review panel. The winner was announced at the Convention. This year, the USHCC invites your Corporation to join us in making this another successful ERG Summit, underscoring the importance and value ERGs bring to the corporate culture.

Leading this year’s ERG Summit Challenge is USHCC’s Executive-on-Loan, Adriana Comellas-Macretti, Director of State Farm’s executive department and Dr. Roberto Rodriguez of ALPFA. In the coming weeks, you will hear more from Adriana and Robert on the ERG Summit application process, submission dates and much more.

The Latino ERG Summit and Corporate Challenge is a key component of the USHCC National Convention & Business Expo designed to bring Latino ERGs together to share best practices and to provide compelling results on the value of Latino ERGs in corporate America.  The Convention is the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America and will bring together thousands of Hispanic entrepreneurs, corporate executives, procurement and supplier-diversity executives from the private and public sectors, as well as Hispanic Chamber of Commerce leaders from throughout the U.S.

We look forward to seeing you in Miami at the 2011 Latino ERG Summit and Corporate Challenge and should you have any questions please contact Adriana Comellas-Macretti directly at adriana.comellas-macretti.lt3e@statefarm.com or (309) 533-3494. You may also contact  Robert Rodriguez at Robert.Rodriguez@national.alpfa.org  or  Eduardo Pereira, USHCC’s, Vice President of Business Development, epereira@ushcc.com or 202.715.0489, as an alternative.
