CALL FOR ENTRIES

CRITERIA and GUIDELINES

WHO CAN ENTER

All USHCC chamber members in “good standing.” These include:

  • Local Hispanic Chambers
  • Professional Trade Associations

JUDGING

Entries will be judged, but not limited to the following criteria:

  • Major accomplishments achieved in the areas of business, economic development, procurement and /or access to capital
  • Leadership, partnerships and service to the Hispanic community and business community
  • Measurable results and outcomes within the Hispanic business community

One national award winner (in unique cases, two winners) may be selected for each category. Judges and the USHCC reserve the right not to select a winner in each category, depending on the quality and appropriateness of nominations.

ENTRY MATERIALS

All materials must be submitted by certified mail. Please mail all materials to:

Each entry must contain clearly labeled materials. Each application must include:

  • Information requested for each category, in the order as indicated
  • Supporting documentations (awards, print media articles, narrative, etc.)

The deadline for all submissions is Monday, August 08, 2011.

CATEGORIES

HISPANIC CHAMBER OF THE YEAR

  • SMALL (Fewer than 249 members)
  • MEDIUM (between 250 and 499 members)
  • LARGE (over 500 members)

Please provide the following information (You must submit 4 identical packets):

  • Brief historical overview, its mission, number of members and other relevant information
  • Description of top 3 programs and services
  • Description of top 5 challenges and issues
  • Description of major accomplishments achieved in 2010-2011
  • List of awards and recognitions received in 2010-2011
  • List of organizations and partnerships that chamber has which benefits the Hispanic community and Hispanic businesses
  • Supporting materials that substantiate effectiveness and results of the chamber’s achievements
  • Chamber must be a member in good standing with the USHCC
